How a Derby barbecue works
We arrive an hour and a half before your service time and set up in about three metres by five of flat ground with no steps to the serving area. Service runs an hour and we say when it is coming to an end so people can go back.
Disposable plates and napkins are included. Fifty guests is the minimum, or the equivalent booking value, under that a delivered buffet from £5.50 a head is better value and we will say so.
Where we barbecue around Derby
Pride Park and the business parks at Wyvern and Riverside for staff events, sports and social clubs across the county, and gardens out through Allestree, Mickleover and Darley Abbey.
Derbyshire farm and barn venues towards Ashbourne and the Peak edge are well within range and suit a barbecue better than most city sites, because the space and the cover are already there.
WHERE WE DELIVER
Derby and around it
We deliver across Derby City Centre, Pride Park, Spondon, Mickleover, Littleover, Allestree, Darley Abbey and Chaddesden, everywhere between them, and a good way beyond. If you are not sure whether we reach you, ring the office and ask. The answer is usually yes.

What Derby customers say
4.9 out of 5 from 210+ Google reviews
Sadlergates provided us with a cold buffet for 12 people at a holiday cottage. The meal was delivered on time by a very friendly driver. All of the food was of an excellent standard with plenty of variety. The gluten-free food was also very much appreciated.
Trevor · Cold buffet at a holiday cottage
We received a sample buffet at our workplace and were very happy. The food and variety was fantastic. The ham is so good… Details have been shared around Disability Direct, and we will be ordering in the future.
Sarah · Office buffet
A huge thank you to Ryan and Elize for looking after the catering for our daughter’s wedding! Excellent service from start to finish. The food was lovely and everyone at the wedding commented on how nice it was. Plenty of food also for all.

We have catered Derby since 2012. If you have a date in mind, the earlier we know it the more likely it is still free.
BBQ catering in Derby, your questions answered
How much is BBQ catering in Derby?
£13.00 a head for The Standard, £19.50 for The Classic and £30.00 for The Premium, with a fifty-guest minimum. There is no travel charge anywhere in Derby or Derbyshire, and the price is the same on a Tuesday as on a Saturday.
Do you invoice on account for company barbecues?
Yes, and most of our Derby barbecue work runs that way. Say so when you book and we will set the billing up properly, with a PO number on the invoice if your finance team needs one.
Can you cater a barbecue at Pride Park?
We cater across Pride Park regularly. The practical question at any managed site is where an open flame is permitted and where the smoke carries, so raise it with the building manager before you fix a date.
What is the minimum?
Fifty guests, or the equivalent booking value. For a smaller team event a delivered buffet from £5.50 a head does the job at a fraction of the cost, and we would rather point you at it.
How far ahead should we book?
Corporate summer demand starts in March and the good June and July dates go then, not in May. A 25% deposit holds the date and the balance is not due until thirty days before.
What happens if the weather turns?
The cooking is under cover and continues. What you need is somewhere for people to eat out of the rain: at a business park that is usually the canteen or an atrium, and it is worth agreeing which before the day.
