WHO WE ARE
Catering the East Midlands has actually eaten
Sadlergates started in Derby in 2012 and now cooks for around six thousand events a year from a single kitchen in Hucknall. Everything we deliver — to a Nottingham office at eleven, a Sheffield training day at eight, a Chesterfield wake at two — is made that same morning on Watnall Road and leaves from there.
What we actually do
Two halves, and they work differently. Buffets are delivered: nine of them, numbered one to nine, from £5.50 a head for sandwiches to £11.00 for the full spread with crisps, fruit, cake and juice. You order those online by 4pm and they arrive the next working day.
Everything else is an event. Hog roasts, barbecues, mobile pizza, canapés, Christmas dinner cooked at your venue — those need our team on site, so they are quoted on the date, the numbers and the space rather than bought from a screen. The 4pm cut-off and the £20 minimum are buffet terms and have nothing to do with them.
Where we go, and where we do not
Nottingham, Derby, Sheffield, Leicester, Mansfield, Chesterfield and Hucknall, and the towns between them. Delivery is free across all of it.
We are honest about the edges. A cold buffet travels thirty miles in an insulated box and arrives as it left, which is why we chase delivered catering in Sheffield. A hog roast needs a team on site for most of a day, and at that distance somebody closer will serve you better — so we say so on the Sheffield pages rather than taking the booking and hoping.
Diets are not an afterthought
Every buffet is thirty per cent vegetarian before anybody asks for it. Vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and halal portions are prepared separately and labelled clearly, at no extra charge on a buffet. Tell us how many of each when you order and nobody has to ask across a room what is in a sandwich.
