A barbecue from the kitchen down the road
Hucknall is the town the kitchen is in, and for a barbecue that matters more than it does for a delivered buffet. The chefs, the grills, the gazebo and every tray of food come from Castle Industrial Park, so setting up ninety minutes before service is straightforward and an early start costs nobody anything.
Most Hucknall barbecues are clubs and community events: Hucknall Town FC, the cricket and bowls clubs, the John Godber Centre, summer fairs at the schools and events on Titchfield Park. After that it is family occasions in the bigger gardens around Broomhill, Butler’s Hill and Bestwood Village.
Out through Linby, Papplewick, Newstead and Annesley the settings get more rural and a grill is often the only practical way to serve hot food to a large group at once.
What is included and what to plan
Sides come with every package: Sadlergates coleslaw, mature cheddar slices, onions, kachumber salad and baby roasts with sauce vierge, with ketchup, American mustard and BBQ sauce alongside.
We need about three metres by five of level ground for the grills and no steps between there and the eating area. A wet-weather plan matters more than people expect, and it is about where the guests stand, not where the chef does.
The minimum is fifty guests or the equivalent booking value. Under that, one of the nine buffets from £5.50 a head is usually the better answer, and it can be ordered straight from the site.

It is worth ringing. The kitchen and the equipment are in the town, so a Hucknall date is the one where a late question most often has a yes attached to it.

Yes, or the equivalent booking value. Our chefs are on site for most of the afternoon, so below fifty a delivered buffet gives you considerably more food for the money.
