December in Hucknall
Hucknall’s December is a mix. There is the working half, which is Rolls-Royce, the Castle Industrial Park units and the businesses along the Watnall Road corridor ordering a festive buffet for a lunchtime or an afternoon before people go out. Then there is the community half, which is the clubs, the John Godber Centre, the churches and the schools.
Both want the same thing at different scales: food laid out and covered before anybody arrives, no kitchen needed at their end, and a price known in advance. The festive buffet at £8.75 a head does that for either.
For a sit-down, the hot Christmas buffet is £23.50 a head with a minimum of fifty, and for a big room a turkey or hog roast carved in front of guests starts at £795.
Booking a December date from here
A 25% deposit holds the date. Final numbers are due a week out and you can move them freely until then, which matters in December more than any other month because office parties change shape right up to the last week.
There is no December surcharge on any of it. The festive buffet, the hot buffet and the roasts cost in December what they cost in June.
Being in the same town as the kitchen is why a late change here is usually a phone call. Ring and ask rather than assume the answer is no, particularly in the last fortnight when everything else is tight.
