ABOUT WORKING LUNCHES
The order nobody has to think about
A working lunch is not an event. It is the Tuesday meeting, the weekly team session, the standing client call over sandwiches — food that has to be right, on time, and completely unremarkable.
That makes it a different job from catering a party. What matters is repeatability: the same quality at the same hour every week, ordered once and then forgotten about until it arrives.

Working Lunch Catering — your questions answered
What is the difference between a working lunch and office catering?
A working lunch is the regular one — the same buffet on the same day every week, set up once. Office catering is the occasion: the board meeting, the client visit, the training day. Same kitchen, different rhythm, and most offices end up using both.
How do I set up a standing weekly order?
Ring the office or ask when you place your next order. We take the buffet, the day, the time and the address, and it repeats until you tell us otherwise. Skipping a week is a phone call.
How much does a working lunch cost?
From £5.50 a head for sandwiches, £7.70 with savouries, and £11.00 for the full spread with crisps, fruit, cake and juice. There are nine buffets in total and every price is on the sandwich buffet menu. Prices exclude VAT.
Can we pay by invoice rather than card?
Yes, with a credit account. You order through the month and settle on one invoice, and anyone in the office can order without needing the company card. Applying takes a few minutes.
How much notice do you need?
Order by 4pm for delivery the next working day. A Monday delivery closes at 4pm on the Friday, because the kitchen prepares on the morning of delivery.
Can you handle dietary requirements every week without us restating them?
Yes. Every buffet is 30% vegetarian as standard, and we keep any other requirements on the account so a standing order carries them automatically. Vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and halal portions are prepared separately and labelled.
What happens to the platters?
Our driver collects the cool boxes and empty platters the next working day, so there is nothing to wash and nothing to return.
Where do you deliver?
Nottingham, Derby, Sheffield, Leicester, Mansfield and Chesterfield, and the towns between them. Delivery is free on orders over £20.
