ABOUT FINGER BUFFETS
The buffet for a room where nobody sits down
A finger buffet is defined by how it is eaten rather than what is on it. Everything is small enough to pick up, so guests can hold a drink, move around the room and talk — which is why it suits receptions, wakes, launches, birthdays and any party where a sit-down meal would kill the mood.
It is the most-ordered format we do, and the nine numbered buffets exist so you can pick one by budget in about thirty seconds rather than reading nine descriptions.

Finger Buffet — your questions answered
What is a finger buffet?
Food sized to be eaten standing up without cutlery — sandwiches, sausage rolls, pork pies, quiche, pinwheels and cake. It suits any event where guests are moving around with a drink rather than sitting down to eat.
What is the difference between a finger buffet and a hot fork buffet?
A finger buffet is picked up by hand and needs no seating; from £5.50 a head. A hot fork buffet is hot mains and sides eaten with a fork off a plate, which needs somewhere to sit or at least somewhere to put the plate down; £23.50 a head with a fifty-person minimum.
How much finger buffet food per person?
One buffet portion per head is what we send, and it is a genuine meal rather than a snack. If your event runs over several hours or replaces a main meal, move up a buffet number rather than ordering extra portions.
How much does a finger buffet cost?
From £5.50 a head for Buffet 1 up to £11.00 for Buffet 9. Nine options in total, with the contents of each on the sandwich buffet menu. Prices exclude VAT and delivery is free on orders over £20.
Do you cater for vegetarians and vegans?
Every buffet is 30% vegetarian as standard, before you ask. Vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and halal portions are prepared separately and labelled — tell us how many of each.
How much notice do you need?
Order by 4pm for delivery the next working day. A Monday delivery closes at 4pm on the Friday.
Do you provide plates and napkins?
Yes, disposable plates and napkins are included with every buffet at no extra charge. Our driver collects the cool boxes and empty platters the next working day.
Can I add anything to a finger buffet?
Yes. Charcuterie, cheese and ploughman's platters are £16.50 each, a fresh fruit platter serving ten is £13.80, salads are £7.75 and homemade cakes £2.25. The full extras list with prices is on the sandwich buffet menu.
